Hyderabad

Hyderabad is the capital and largest city of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Established in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Hyderabad remained under the rule of the Qutb Shahi dynasty for nearly a century before the Mughals captured the region.
Hyderabad or Pearl City is known for many places among them are Forts, lakes and much more. Many places are there to visit in Hyderabad.

I started my experience with the famous place “Charminar”. Charminar or also called as Eiffel tower of Hyderabad. You will be mesmerized by the architectural beauty of the place. The beauty of the place is breathtaking and you can’t take your eyes from the structure. The Charminar, built in 1591 CE, is a monument and mosque located in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. The landmark has become a global icon of Hyderabad, listed among the most recognized structures of India. It is widely accepted that Charminar was built at the center of the city. Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah laid the Charminar. The structure was intended to serve as a Mosque and Madraasa. The Hyderabad city was designed keeping Charminar as a center piece. The structure is made of granite, limestone, mortar and pulverised marble. There is also a legend of an underground tunnel connecting the Golkonda fort to Charminar, possibly intended as an escape route for the Qutb Shahi rulers in case of a siege, though the location of the tunnel is unknown. A thriving market exists around the Charminar: Laad Baazar is known for jewellery, especially exquisite bangles, and the Pather Gatti is famous for pearls. The Charminar come alive in night and night life of the people depends on the Charminar.

Hussainsagar Lake divides the Hyderabad and Secunderabad. The lake is famous for statue of lord Buddha which is one of the world tallest statue of lord Buddha. Boating and water sports are the main attraction of the lake.Hussain Sagar was built across a tributary of the river Musi river in 1562 by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah. The lake was named after Hussain Shah Wali, who helped design it. It is an artificial lake that holds water perennially fed by canals from Musi river. Hussain Sagar was the main source of water supply to Hyderabad before Himayat Sagar and Osman Sagar were built on river Musi.
